Default Problem on rear left light and TCS

Hello from France to all Hummer friends,
I'm the happy owner of an Hummer H3 3.7 2007, but few days ago I had the following problems.
The rear left light (brake, turn, road light) does not work at all, and on the right one, the brake light is not working. In order to be sure that the problem is not coming from a burned lamp, I replace all of them by new one.
I never had such a problem in the past, but I notice that, again a few days back, I had the traction off light of the TCS, who turn on, on the control panel. I try many time to stop the system using the TCS button, but without success.
Is this a simple coincidence or are the 2 problems connected together ?
I will appreciate if somebody could help me to find a solution to eliminate those problems.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Guyto

Welcome to HF.

Do you have a sunroof? If so, has the carpet been wet on the front passenger side? If so, search how to fix clogged sunroof drains.

Thank you so much for your quick reply.
I will check it as soon as the rain is over in my place, and will let you know.
Thanks again.

Hello Doc Olds again,

I check the front floor of my car and on the right side it is OK, but on the driver side the carpet is completely wet.
So what I do : I put an hot air blower inside the car just in front of the driver seat, and will have it working for 2 hours and check it after that if the lights are ok.
Once the floor is dry, I will remove the carpet on both sides and check if the cable connection are not rusted by the humidity and, if possible, I will try to make them waterproof as much as possible. What do you think of that ?
After that, I will remove the black plastic covers just on the right and left sides of the front doors frames, to check both sunroof drain pipes, try to clean the inside using a bicycle brake cable to remove all the dirty material of the inside.
I was looking on a video at YouTube and I saw a guy who remove the bottom part (the white one) of the 2 drain pipe, install new one, drill the bottom side floor of the car, on each side, and put the 2 drain pipe going directly to the outside of the car floor just behind the wheels. is this a good idea or I will have other problems lather on ?
If you want, I can send you pictures of the job I will be doing
Anyway, thank you so much for your great instruction.
With my warmest regards
Guyto

DO NOT follow the video you are talking about. Not a good idea. The way H3s end up with clogged sunroof drain tubes is lack of maintenance and a tiny design flaw.
Do NOT blow compressed air through the drain tubes either.

Click on the link to this thread in blue. Follow these instructions. Finally, a fix for clogged sunroof drain tubes

Clean them out and cut out the X at the grommet through the firewall.
There also videos on how to do the correct repair.

Your electronics are acting up because your BCM got wet from the plugged sunroof drains (it is right behind the passenger side kick plate). It may recover, you might need a new one.

Doc Olds,

Again thank you for your advices.

Once I have clean and fix the 2 drain pipes, and completely dried the carpet, what should I do to fix the TCS light who continuously turn-on on the control panel ?
How can I check to see if the BCM is working perfectly or not ?

I'm sorry to ask you so many question, but the region where I live in France, there is no Hummer garage, and in addition it is very difficult to find a mechanic who knows this vehicle well. In addition, it is practically impossible to find spare parts in France, and I have to order them from the States (Rockauto).
With the help of the Hummer's technical guide and documentation, I do my best to identify the problems and then be able to help and tell my mechanic what he should do, in principle, to correct them.

I don't want to bother you with my Hummer's problems, but know that your help is precious to me.Good afternoon.

Another area to check is, at the rear bumper, up underneath, you'll see a wire harness bundle that rubs against the frame and wears through the insulation and causes a short.
