Sorry for the late reply @mcrouch824. Not sure if you got something already but the most accurate way I can describe the Cardone pump is "Mehhh." It's been okay as a replacement but I've recently stared hearing a bit of a whine during certain driving scenarios that seems ominous. I'm not able to tell whether the whine is because of the pump or if the reservoir is contributing. I reused the reservoir and tried cleaning that filter out in there as best as possible, but I don't think there's an easy way to visually inspect the filter inside the reservoir if I'm remembering right. I installed the pump (with in-line filter) 11/25/2022 with 122,872 miles and I'm at 134,806 today. Having said all that, everything seems fine at the moment and I'm not leaking anywhere - nor have I had any leaks since installation - so I guess you'd have to say it's been successful. End of the day, there's just not many options available as we all know.

Thanks. I tried the Cardone and it didn't pass the post install test drive. I finally ordered a BBB Industries new pump and it has worked so far. Since we are unable to replace the reservoir it will only be a matter of time until this pump fails or the plastic reservoir fails again. Thanks for your reply.

Can't verify the screen on the inside of the reservoir, but with basically no options for a pump + reservoir I purchased a new Cardone P/S pump in hopes that I would be able to swap the pump but reuse the OEM reservoir. The pump should be here tomorrow but I wasn't able to see closely enough in the pictures where any attachment would be located.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, are replacement pump reservoirs designed to fit different pumps? I would have just purchased a Cardone P/S pump reservoir but one doesn't seem to exist for the H3 which makes me think that it can be reused. It seemed really odd to me that this would be the case but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with a Cardone replacement pump and could enlighten me. Trying to get this done tomorrow.
I have a 2007 H3 Hummer 3.7L. My reservoir broke. Couldn't find one anywhere. Did some research and I bought a Power steering pump, reservoir, and pulley for a 2007 Chevy Colorado 2 wheel drive 3.7L engine. It's a little bigger reservoir and the pulley shaft is slightly bigger. That's why I had to have the pulley instead for the one off the H3. Here is the part number for the pump and reservoir I used. Duralast New Power Steering Pump 63148N. Here's the pulley. Dorman Power Steering Pump Pulley 300-141. I couldn't find this information anywhere that it would work. I did all the measurements and took a chance. It's working fine, and that's why I'm sharing the info.

Would the reservoir from this new pump fit the original H3 pump? Since our H3 reservoir is not available. Thanks.

Will this also work for the 2008 hummer H3 Alpha with a V8 engine? My mechanic said he can locate a pump and a hose, but not the reservoir. Desperately trying to find something that will work in this case.

Nice find on a newly available item. Not familiar with AAE (Atlantic Automotive Enterprises or Engineering) brand, but it is a viable option for the I5s. Kudos!

Now if we could get them for the Alphas.

For those who still have their stock reservoir in good shape but leaking. You can salvage it by replacing the inlet o-ring. I was able to salvage mine by popping off the two retaining clips that hold the reservoir in place, just took some flat head screwdrivers and a small mirror. Replaced the o-ring (just make sure you're using material that's compatible with PS fluid and not gonna shrink if it gets too cold where you are) and done.

During this process I found interesting that the PS resivoir inlet had a notch, almost as if it was designed to leak once the o-ring deteriorates past that point, forcing one to replace the entire power steering assembly, but that's a whole different discussion. Clear throat (planned obsolescence)
