Well i took my switches out again and dried them out again and installed them AGAIN!! and checked to see if i can waterproof them and i am pretty sure you can't. Everywhere bit Tue switches can be done.... And you could almost do it....but you would have to waterproof it where the rubber strip that presses the circut board on too of the rubber and seal it to the casing. The water would still be able to get in the switches themselves but not to what it would harm... I don't this.k it is worth the fright to do it. So i will keep removing it and fixing it for now about every two months it has a fit. So for the five minutes it takes me... I won't run out and spend my 200 on new switches.... They obviously work but somehow it is getting moist or the cold is doing it somehow... Oh well....

(no charge on the labor) Decided since I drove 100 miles to get to them that I would have them change my fluids, trans, rear and front diff. They went over a few other things with me and answered all my questions. The service tech had 10 years experience with all the Hummers. A nice group of people. Even got a great deal on a chrome brush guard that someone never picked up. This made the trip well worth the gas. Sometimes when you have tried all the tricks of touching this and that or pulling this or that , that maybe the switch panel itself is bad and it was. Nice to be able to lock the rear door and all the other doors with the fob. Thanks for every ones help on this subject. I could have put the switch in myself but chose to go to the dealer in case it was something else and I was lucky that it was just a bad door switch panel. It feels good when everything is working on your Hummer the way it should work. Thanks again!!!
It will be a year in a few days and everything is working fine. I just hope I never have to replace the battery yeah right.

Dont worry about that, I got the "crack", 1-key fob unlock, 2-unplug both master switch connectors, 3-key fob lock, 4-key fob unlock, 5-plug in both master switch connectors, 6-start vehicle. worked for me... there could be fewer steps, and I will try it when the weather breaks... dam its cold outside, my h3 still starts with no problem and everything is working properly..

I'm thinking that if water/moisture was the problem more than one or two would have the problem. Looks like an imtermittent connection, connector,or bad solder on the circuit board.Or maybe just a defective switch!,they do go bad more often now than years ago.
Water is not really a good conducter.

My battery died last night and the drivers window would not go up again. I pulled fuse #6 #68 and Relay #77 with no luck this time. I removed the drivers door switch and took it apart. There was no sign of any water getting to the circuit board at all. I put it all together and it worked fine... I wonder if this is a timing thing rather than a new switch needed.

hey everyone, I have been reading posts on here sense i bought my hummer and ended up with the nutorious heater issue 2 weeks later. MY windows and door locks started about 5 months ago and i have tried everything suggested here even took a hairdryer and dryer the old door switch, bought a new window switch and installed it, cleaned every connector, did the reset trick like 10 rtimes, crossed the battery cables, you name i think i have tried and i am still not able to lock my doors or i guess i should say use the automatic feature to unlock and lock. key fob does nothing neither, any further suggestions? please i think i am going to drive it out on the ice so it will sink when spring comes. help

Did you check powers & grounds at the master switch? Do any windows operate with the master switch?

Default Problem with key fob, windows door locks

This happened to me about three weeks ago and I tried the battery cable fix and it didn't work. Due to the weather in the northeast, i could not bring it in to be looked at. Two days ago I went to get into the truck and all of a sudden everything worked. My wife says its magic. The only thing that happened just before was my daughter borrowed the truck and the only thing she did that was not normal was switch on the defroster. The next day everything worked.
