Yes, sorry for the confusion. The 2 items replaced. 1 was the VVT solenoid, the other the cam sensor...

So yes the question remains. What's next.?? Going to try some other top secret code solutions...

Stay tuned.

Get some MOBIL 1 (Walmart sells it cheap with free delivery) & change oil after running some miles with Seafoam inside the engine.

Can't tell from your initial post but do I have this right: all was running fine, then you drove it ON the beach to your fishing spot, then immediately noticed shaking and poor performance once you left?

Is it possible that you could have gotten some sand intrusion somewhere in the engine or air filter? Again, not sure of the landscape where you were driving. Did you check the filter/air box and other intake components? If that were me and I already replaced the VVT and camshaft sensor, I would be looking at the air filter, cleaning the MAF, and then cleaning the TB.

^^^ Good advise.... ^^^ Doing this. Kind of scary while its still running pretty rough. The PO 0017 code has cleared.

Now only coding the PO 0300. Did one drip application. One spray application of Sea Foam. One can in the tank.

Run it for a while and do a oil change for certain.

Thanks for that hummertz...

So just did that clean out. Still rough. So checked new plugs and coils. # 3 plug did not look good. So swapped out plug and coil. Still running poorly.

After the test drive I noticed some silvery small beads on the floor by the exhaust. This is starting to look like a major problem. @ 115k not cool... Here are some images

Small silver metallic fallout from exhaust.

your cat might be disentegrating /clogging internally
if you have a boroscope you can take a look through the O2 bungs.
you can also remove the first o2 sensor and see if the engine runs better. if it does then clogged exhaust /cats.
