Pass lock security system
Hello everyone.
I got problem with engine start sometimes.
Its all about system pass lock security. After it appear I cant start engine and I have to wait 10 minutes.
I read about that problem and some of you are saying that replacing of ignition switch will resolve the problem.
My H3 is 2007 year with manual transmition.
I have found the part Im looking for but I would like to ask you is it the right one which will fit to my car.
here is the link: https://www.carid.com/2007-hummer-h3-ignition-parts/acdelco-gm-genuine-parts-ignition-lock-housing-3351804315.html
The second question is: after I install it will I be able to start my car or I have to buy new keys and remotes too because the present one wont fit?

When you change the ignition switch you still use the existing lock cylinder and existing keys. Factory FOBs have nothing to do with the ignition switch.
There are threads and a video on this topic here, search is your friend. I don't have time to check your part but you are buying more than you need. The ignition switch is the black plastic module thing, you should use your current housing. BEFORE you replace the switch, clean the contacts they are likely dirty and causing your problem.

Thank you for reply. I will do like you said. Can you recommend a website where I can buy the ignition switch sensor only? Im looking for it but looks like they doesnt sell it separately. Im not from USA but my friend is in right now so he can bring the part with him when he come back.
Appreciate for any help.
