I Had have a 2006 h3 with 105k on my 3.5. Had this similar issue. Had stopped at the ATM and left the h3 idling. When pulling away slowly I got the oil alarm, which had never occured ever B4.

Recently prior did a Syn oil change with all the standard items as per specs.

Suspect since the problem has not happend again. This was 2 months ago. Issue could be related to need consider future change to heavy oil rather then 5-30. This may up pressure to some degree since the engine being 17 years old and over 100k things may be getting loose... Causing some loss of oil pressure at low idle.

Thanks for that Hummerz...
Another question for those who have performed this task, changing the oil sensor. Is it possible to perform this from the Top Side? The illustration indicates doing it from the Bottom.

Please advise only if you have done this one way or the other,

Why? It is directly accessible from the bottom with the splash shield removed and you don't need to lift the H3 if you can lay on the ground.
