Default OEM uplevel radio help

Hi, i have an issue with the radio, it plays but the buttons either dont work or are glitchy, it played fine until 2 days ago and there were no issues with the vehicle. I have pulled the fuses, they are fine, pulled neg batt cable and let it sit for 30 mins, also tried the factory reset suggestion of holding (power, seek, #5) at the same time which did nothing. Out of ideas now, i can manually change the channel with the dial **** but neither seek or any other buttons work. All help is appreciated. Thanks

Try spraying the face/buttons with CRC Electronics Cleaner while it is off. Let it dry, then see if it helped.

I would suggest that it is time for an upgrade to modern equipment with a backup camera and Apple/Car Play since your OEM unit is OLD. Most of them are going to die out eventually.

I had a GMC that had the OEM radio display go dark and had no control at all, it came on when the vehicle was started, you could not change the channel or volume. That got stale in a couple weeks.

Good luck. Let us know what you end up doing.

thanks Doc, been looking into a new system with Nav that will work with the monsoon system without having to buy a bunch of transistors or cables

Still thinking Old School. If you get a head unit that works with Car Play you use your smart phone for the Nav and it displays on the head unit. Never out of date, no Nav discs etc...
