noise behind the radio
HI guys
I can hear a noise like toc, toc, behind the radio
I removed the front panel assy where the air conditioned controls are placed thinking the noise comes from the radio, but it doesn't
the noise comes (I think) from the assy where the air conditioned is routed, when I disconnected the harness from the extreme right rounded control the noise disappeared.
other thing is when you move the control to any other position the LEDs for A/C and re-circulation start blinking
how can I know if the problem is mechanical in the assy or the rounded control?
thanks

Search how to re-calibrate H3 Hummer HVAC controls. That means you do the searching, read how to do it, then do it. It is all pretty easy to follow.
ok Doc
this is what I found and what I did
•Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
•Turn the Temperature dial all the way to the right.
•Turn the blower control dial all the way to the right.
•Turn the mode position dial all the way to the left.
•Simultaneously press and hold the A/C and Defrost buttons until the LEDs start to flash
•Once the LEDs stop flashing, calibration is complete.
for a moment when LEDs start flashing the noise disappear, after that you can hear like a smooth motor, very low, and when the motor stop the noise starts again, the calibration procedure (LEDs flashing) never ends.

hi thanks for your message.
ok, according to where I listen the noise it coming from the area where actuators 11, 10 or 9 are located.
when you say "check" what do you mean?
maybe it's good to mention sometimes after a while the noise disappear, sometimes
can you give me the name for those three actuators?
thanks

"CHECK", look see feel touch smell listen hear, I don't care what you do if it's making noise you have to figure out which one, or replace all 3? Put your head up in there and look and feel it, whatever..
"NAME" I posted above, 2- air temp door actuators (left and right) #9 & #10, and 1-mode door actuator #11. Temp door, controls the heat and cold air mix temperature. Mode door controls where the air flows, dash/center/floor.
Rock auto has them cheap #10397365

ok I tried to identify the one touching it, but it was impossible, one thing is that the noise disappear when I disconnect the harness from the mode control, the one in your right, any idea?
the three you mention are the same P/N?
thanks
