Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I cranked it down to 24in hub to fender. I believe the sweet spot is 23.75 or so. Is this looking less disastrous? Lol don't worry I was not driving it.
Better.... 23.5 maybe 23.6 is about the max and we could have all told you you do not need any "lift kit" to get there as the OEM Tbars can be adjusted to accomplish that.
Do whatever makes you happy as long as you have bank to replace parts frequently. Just make sure to get an alignment when you decide on the ride height, to prevent premature wear on those MT's! My 3 has 91k+ miles @23", and the only thing I replaced on the front steering/suspension/drivetrain was the shocks. All else oe and still tight. Btw, it appears your upper ball joint boot is split.
I thought the same thing at first, Hummerz. But the more I looked, I think it is just the bellows boot pulled open and the dark rings are where the bellows touched when it was lowered. I don't see any of the inside of the ball joints in the pics.
After alignment it settled at 23.5 center hub to fender. I think this post is good because it shows pics of the angles in the front end with the height increases and decreases. I haven't seen a post with this yet so may be helpful for people.
