The last ACDelco set I had programmed at Discount Tire they used a hand held TPMS programmer (all radio no OBDII Plug in). Where they screwed up is they kept trying to program the spare and I had to tell them H3s can only read 4 sensors and do not recognize position......... leave the spare out. As a side, I do believe older I5s have more issues with BCM communication than the V8s. Personally, if you are not getting the warning, not a big problem. Go old school and actually pay attention to what is going on.

He said he used VDO. When I bought the H3 in September the TPMS light was on, I followed the direction in the manual on the chrome wheels which used Schrader brand and never had the light come back on. I told him being I have no issues with Schrader brand I think we should use them. He said VDO is one of the top brands. I think something weird is going on because he tested two and both shows dead. If that's the case the waring light should be on the dash.

He charged me $600 but said I would need to remove the tires. I took the wheels to a friends shop, he removed the tires and I also had him get me new TPMS he charged me $240 which included mount and balance removing and installing the tires. The total cost for everything was $840

Two of the wheels had major corrosion so he sand blasted all wheels, fixed all nicks and scratched, re-milled the polished part and powder coated the rest. I've used him many times and his work is amazing.
