Default My New To Me 07 Hummer H3

I was lucky enough to get my sister in-law Father's 07 H3 with only 58K miles. He was the original owner. I'm very happy with it. I've done a few things already, like tinted the front two windows, installed full set of Weather Tech mats, removed DRL suede dash cover, led interior lights, led headlight and fog light bulbs, GM spare tire cover, chrome hummer inlaid on the front bumper, black shorter antenna, installed factory GM duel horns. I already changed the oil, front and rear diff oil and also the transfer case. It also came with the 17" chrome wheels and cold air intake system along with a duel tip exhaust system, chrome hood trim and fender scoops, black fender trims and mud guards with really transforms the look of the H3

My plan is to raise the front up to 23 1/2 install 7" led headlights and 4" Led fog lights.along with a European switch. I sent the stock wheels off to be refurbished to use in the winter months along with a new set of TPMS should have them back next week.

I removed the front chrome push bar, chrome rear spare tire cover, back up camera because the screen was drilled to the dash (reason for the dash cover) also removed the chrome tail light, side marker bumper caps ends, antenna base trim pieces.

You are still trying to use the Crappy Azzed OEM Battery Terminal Connectors?

Looks good! Congrats.

Yes, for now until they give me trouble. I don't like the fact of cutting the factory ones off. My bother and his wife had an H3 for many years with no issues, I'm hoping for the same.

My 2010 terminals are OEM. There is no indication that they are not working properly. Keep an eye on any corrosion build up.

That was one of the first things I did when I picked it up. I removed both terminals and cleaned them and installed fiber washers and a little dielectric grease on post..

Problem is, as soon as you remove them and put them back on a few times, like replacing a Battery the second time, say hello to the Electrical Gremlins. They are garbage, every one of them will eventually fail. Not if, only when.

Nice truck, have fun with it.

Which model of Stinger do you recommend?

Whatever model works for your intended use. Both my H3s had winch bumpers so I needed the extra space on the Stingers for the winch ground/positive, Sub Amp, Battery Tender, Side Lights etc.... I am using SPT53102 & SPT53302, but you probably do not need those.

We talked about this a bunch of times here before you jumped in........... take a look at this thread for one option. Ordered Stingers!

You could pair a SHT301 STINGER HPM POSITIVE TERMINAL with any other stinger negative, those are pretty cool with the digital readout, but pricy.

Thanks.... In other news I received my refurbished stock wheels yesterday, he did a great job. I also had him install new TPMS but for some reason I can't get them to recognize. I drove over 20 miles with the new sensors and I'm not even getting the TPMS light on the dash which seem weird to me. I stopped by the shop and he used a hand held scanner first started with plugging it in to my OBD port and went around to the front wheels but he couldn't get them to read. I wondering if the BCM first need to through a TPMS warning on the dash before I can re-learn them?

What TPMS did you use?

The last ACDelco set I had programmed at Discount Tire they used a hand held TPMS programmer (all radio no OBDII Plug in). Where they screwed up is they kept trying to program the spare and I had to tell them H3s can only read 4 sensors and do not recognize position......... leave the spare out. They followed my instruction and all has been good.

As a side, I do believe older I5s have more issues with BCM communication than the V8s. Personally, if you are not getting the warning, not a big problem. Go old school and actually pay attention to what is going on.
