Do you have a photo of your catalytic converter? I am trying to find out if the oval thing, see photo att., is the catalytic or the resonator. I do not see any O2 sensors around so I think should be the resonator. What you think? I am going to removing it.

 

That looks like a cat to me. If you have an 06, you can gut or delete the exhaust manifold cat w/out getting a code. The 07 and later need a second bung welded in just behind the second cat for the o2 sensor and a 13? Inch wiring extension to relocate the sensor to keep from getting an o2 miscomparison code all the time. Upside is a solid 10 hp boost across the rev range. I'm probably going to be doing this in the spring myself.

 

There are no O2 around it. I think I will remove it and I will put a straight pipe or a cherry bomb glasspack.
