Hello all,

I've had my 2008 H3 for about 6k miles now and shifting over the past few days has become a pain. While parked and with the clutch depressed, I find it hard to get into any gear. After letting off the clutch in neutral and many attempts at other gears it will eventually notch in. Shifting from 1-2 is iffy without a double-clutch, 2-3 is also hit or miss, and 3-4 seems to be the easiest change. I have noticed that it requires less clutch pressure to get the truck rolling in 1st, almost as if the clutch isn't being depressed all the way at the start (which my foot is to the floor). Any thoughts as to what this could be and possible repair costs? Truck has 131k miles and this seems to be the only issue its had, another note is I did just tow a trailer from TX to VA over December. My initial thoughts were clutch or synchros

I’ve read through the other posts on here, pumping the clutch seems to help. Decided to check my master cylinder on my break from work it’s low, also there’s a thick black sludge at the bottom (assuming the seal has deteriorated since it’s dang near 15 years old).

Going to replace master cylinder and flush trans. According to Schwarttzy’s maintenance doc I’m experience “hard shifting/clutch drag” at least that’s what my symptoms most closely align with. Any other thoughts would be appreciated!
