Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Got tired of the seat side cover being loose. Took the side panel and the switch panel off. Drilled 1/4” holes through both panels, replaced the switch panel, replaced side panel, inserted push rivets.
zip ties would probably work as well. putting them through the clip loops then snapping the switch in then tighten them across the back of the switches so it pushes the switches against the panel.

Good idea I didn’t think zip ties. You have any pics of how/where you did yours?
Your fix is far from oem, and any ****-retentive person would see that. That's why I do all my repairs that are never noticeable. You just keep treating it like you own it, however if you decide to sell, you got some explaining to do.

Yes, I have repaired many of trim panels, for my customers, mostly due to damage caused by the tech's working for me, with improper removal. I repaired, unnoticeable, and properly secured. Never a problem.
