Hey, you are in Illanoy, all roads are bad! But don't worry, our awesome governor is going to fix them one tax at a time. Did it ride bad before the new shocks?

Lol Buckwheat- yeah I'm not betting on it.

Update: I took it to my mechanic. He said one of the rear shocks had gone bad or was defective. Took it back to PepBoys and after arguing with the guy in the service department, he grudgingly installed two new ones on the rear. Worked fine for about 100 miles but now I have the same issue. When they installed the new ones the first time, one of the rears was so rusted that they had to heat up the nut to get it off. Do you think they couldve damaged something during the install?

So I got the tape measure out today. The left side is sagging 1.5". Could the leaf springs be worn out? I looked at the shackles and all the bolts were tight. The rubber was pretty worn out. Looks like the previous owner replaced the right side a while back, but the left is OEM. How much does it cost to replace the leaf springs?

There was an old TSB for the dealers on that, which you are free to look up. Basically you loosen all of the shackle bolts, bumper monkey the high side, then re-tighten the shackle bolts. However, given the age of your truck, probably wouldn't do much for you now.

How is the driver seat? Might have had a large person prior owner/driver.

Yes leafs can & do wear. They are not an expensive part. Got no idea what it would cost to pay somebody to do it or the "book rate" as I do all my own work on everything.

Thanks Doc - I looked at the service records. It was rear ended in 2015 on the back right corner. I think the problem is that they didnt replace the whole pair and the new spring on the passenger side put too much pressure on the old spring on the drivers side. I found a spring shop that will replace the pair for $950. Seems high but this place is recommended by my mechanic so I think I'm just gonna eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches till i pay it off.
