Just Purchased 2006 H3
Hi folks,
Just now attempting to familiarize myself with this forum. Purchased a 2006 Hummer H3 with 201,000 miles about a week ago. The engine has new valves, oil pump, fuel pump, timing chain, etc... which is why I purchased. Also a friend has a Colorado with the similar 5 cylinder engine and he has over 300,000 miles on it. I have threw on a new set of General Grabber X3 285/75R16's. New grille guard, new Bilstein shocks. Changed all the fluids including transfer case, tranny, front and rear differential, pumped out old power steering and brake fluid and refilled with new. I am now down to my next task - the roof racks! Yep - no keys! I understand how to purchase but you can't purchase without the key code. My lock cylinders on the roof rack cross bars has absolutely no code anywhere - not on the cylinder face, not found on the housing or anwhere on the roof racks. Any thoughts as to the best way to figure out the key code so that I can order the keys? Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to HF.
Sounds like you have aftermarket roof racks. pop the locks with a screwdriver and buy a new set. A locksmith will cost what a new aftermarket set on eBay would cost anyway.
Or buy some lightly used OEM (they latch better).

I was thinking there were five codes from everything that I am reading SP1 - SP5.

The RR locks are pretty crude, a screw driver in just the right size could probably open them.
