Got my hummer h3 used from a private individual. He did not have keys for the roof rack. The lock shows SP5 . Does anyone here have an extra key or can get one made? I will pay for this. Please let me know.

 

SEARCH before posting. GM dealers have them. They can be ordered on line.

 

dont want to spend $30 for that key. all I need to do is get the roof racks off the car. I dont need to keep the key.

I have "SP2" keys from our H3 that got destroyed in an accident and "SP1" keys for the H3 we currently own. Sorry I couldn't help.

I did have to replace one of the keyed covers through a GM dealer a few years ago and it seems the price was less than $30.00 though.......

Take your key code to a locksmith. I'm not sure, but I think our crossbars are made by either Yakima or Thule. See if they show that code for either of those manufacturers, and have them make you a key.....maybe $5?
