Instrument cluster (Speedometer, tach, etc…) suddenly lost backlight. Any Ideas?
Never had an issue with this before. H3 has a new battery, stinger terminal connectors and alternator is good too. No issues with anything else.
The backlights for the radio and heating/air all work correctly. The dome lights are good and I’ve tried turning the selector/adjuster next to the headlight **** because I figured I must’ve bumped it and turned the backlights off but that isn’t it either.
I have not checked any fuses yet because I still need to find my fuse tester. I wasn’t sure if there was a fuse that is limited to just the instrument cluster backlights? I would’ve figured the fuse went to all the backlights in the car but who knows. Just wanted to see if anyone had similar issues in the past?

I had the same problem twice. It was a fuse, but I don't remember the fuse number.
Interestingly for me, pulling and replace the (good) fuse did NOT solve my problem. I needed to CLEAN it with electronics cleaner. Both times.
Just an FYI for when you go chasing fuses - clean them as well.
I wouldn't think it was possible had I not seen it myself. My fuse was not excessively dirty or corroded either.
