Installing aftermarket Amp

Installing aftermarket Amp
I've decided to add an aftermarket amp and sub to my H3 based on feedback from other posts on this forum.
I have a JL Audio high to low level converter than I can use to tie into my monsoon amp line level for RCA inputs to my aftermarket amp.
My big question is where is the best place to run the power wire from the battery through the firewall? I know the H3 is supposed to be submersible up to 3 feet I think so I don't want to compromise that.
Thanks in advance.

The 3 has can ford water up to 24", It is not submersible. You can run it thru the boot on the drivers firewall or just get a grommet and drill a hole. If water gets up that far its coming in the doors anyway. Water makes for expensive repairs.

I guess submersible was a bad choice of words. I just knew that the H3 could tread water. Thanks for the info.

I am adding an amp to power an aftermarket sub only. Planning to use the existing factory door speakers as is if it sounds okay. I am pleased with it so far.
