2006 Hummer

Cruising down the road today I noticed beside the top reading on the right side of my interior mirror was what looked like a pen with the cap off.
I tried turning the display off and on and that didn't solve anything.
Yanking out my trusty owner's manual and reading about the interior mirror possible displays didn't mention anything about what this indication could mean.
I'm sure it's something simple and meaningless, but my curiosity has been aroused......
Can anyone shed light on this mystery, to me, DIC on my mirror????

 

What direction were you traveling?

 

I made several different turns, so probably all four directions before coming home.

Agree , a thread like this without a pic is useless.

A pen with a cap off does not mean much for a DIC light description.

Gulp, (swallowing my Humble pill) after taking a couple close up pictures with my trusty phone I saw what my 59 year old eyes didn't.
The pen with a cap off really spelled out, "CAL"......
Going back to the owner's manual it instructed me to drive in a circle at 5 mph til the "CAL" disappeared.
I was somewhat skeptical because I had done nothing for the "CAL" message to come on in the first place, but I went to our local high school parking lot and made a circle and a half and BAM!!!!! It went out.
Magic, I tell you.....Magic.......
That's all I can say!!!!
