I have a compass in my rear view mirror, does that mean I already have a GPS Antenna?

I believe the 2 are independent systems of each other.
GPS pinpoints your location and the compass only tells you what direction you are facing.
I have had to reset/re-calibrate the mirror compass and the GPS (OEM) will worked fine.

Correcto mundo. Our kid car (passed between them) Saturn Ion has the same mirror as the H3, same size and shape w/o any onstar button etc..., similar vintage older GM all have the illuminated compass with zero GPS capability/no GPS antenna.
