If I drive for one day....my antenna loosens up, so that it almost falls off.....can't seem to get it tight enough....[:@] Just curious if anyone else's 3 does this....

 

nope, changed the stock though (and even needed pliers to get it off, was on there tight)

 

I have noticed my antenna loose on afew occasions since buying the H3 in october. I'm seriously thinking about getting a shorter antenna as the one now hits the top of the garage door.I'm wondering if that is causing it to loosen up.

 

try some loktite or a drop of silicon caulk on the threads even thread tape can work.

 

I don't think that I have ever had a car that didn't do that Solar, not without tighting it up with a rag (so not to scratch it) and a pair of pliers.

 

i was going to suggest Loktite (blue)as well.

 

I have tightened the one on the H3 a number of times. I always tell myself to use the lock-tite, but usually when I am away from the garage and then I forget about it. Short answer is yes the 3 antenna is loose all the time.

 

Mine is loose constantly. Anyone have any good recommendations for a shorty?

 

Mine gets loose as well. I just check on it once in awhile.

 

MIne loosened up a few times, but I buggered up the last couple of threads on the "bolt" looking side of it and torqued it down again. It hasn't come loose again.
