Question Hummer H3- all keys lost.. remote start/bypass help.

Hi guys,
just joined the forum so thank you for adding me.
I have recently bought a 2006 Hummer H3 at auction, the sticking point is, its got no keys!! si I would normally jus make some new transponder keys and programme them in.
I ve never had an american car before let alone a GM. so i was a bit taken aback to find it it has a transistor in the key ( passlock 2, as i now know )
after many many hours on the internet researching this ( no, not ****!! ) I eventually bought a little bypass module and wired it in but suprise surprise.. it didn't work..
so, back to the interweb and I am now thinking i would be better off with a remote start as it has a bypass.. can any tell me if this will still work in this " all keys lost " scenario..
I'm really keen to get it running so any help any one can give would be hugely appreciated..
Thanks in advance...

H3 keys are not chipped. You can buy a new ignition lock cylinder set with keys and swap it in using the existing ignition switch.

Agreed. Remove the shroud surrounding the area and clean the electrical contacts. You have to follow the relearn prosses to the absolute letter lol.
Also, did you replace the entire cylinder and associated stuff or just a quick key lock swap.

Part# D1403G
Because the above listed part is got to be replaced fully if you are having troubles with the Vats stuff.

The PassLock system uses the Ignition Switch, the key does not matter. Hence you can start it with a screw driver if the switch is programmed to the vehicle.

Clean the contacts per the pic.

What does "new ignition" mean? There is a lock cylinder, a housing, and a switch. Which/what did you replace?

You did not need to replace the old switch. If you still have it, use that.

hi, yeah, I replaced the whole shebang.. i keep reading conflicting stuff on the web... but what I do think is right is.. its a passlock 2 system and it needs to be bypassed as i dont have any keys with a resistor in the key head..i know you can buy new keys with resistor in but i cant know which key to buy as there is no way to measure the correct resistance for this h3..
