Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
You should lock your steering wheel with the GM tool or a screwdriver can work in a pinch. The R&R of the intermediate shaft is not difficult but the end inside the engine compartment might be very stubborn (rust/dirt). Remove the driver side inner fender (plastic piece) for better access to everything. You can see and reach most of it from there.
YOU CAN NOT MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL FROM IT's STRAIGHT FORWARD POSITION. Many bad issues can happen if it strays from that position.
Second what tainter said. I've done this twice on two different H3's and you've got to have patience of a saint. Be very flexible and have dexterity to boot.
Just be methodical and did I mention patient.
Need to do mine as well, 2006 H3. Any video's on it?
You are the weekend's Dig UP Old Azzed Threads WINNER!!!
Your prize is everyone pointing and laughing at you for diggin up Old Dead Threads to tack on your question instead of just asking the question in the H3 section.
