Hi All,

Planning on going to the drive in later this week and cannot figure out how to turn off all interior lights while keeping the tailgate open. When we went last time I had to pull the battery and listen to the car's next to me for audio....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

 

There is a button near your headlight dial; the dome light kill switch. Press it.

 

With the key turned to play the stereo and the tailgate open so that the kids can lie down and watch the movie that switch does not turn off the inside lights.

There is a slight time delay, so pushing that button won't turn the lights off immediately, but it's "supposed" to override the door switches and allow you to leave the doors open with the interior lights off. However, while it works in my Hummer, the exact same switch only works occasionally in my wife's '06 Tahoe.

Also, make sure that you are only turning the key to ACC, not ON.

 

I just changed mine and poof everything works again lights come on and go off radio shuts off too. $9 on Amazon
