I bought my 09 h3 off a good friend solid truck I’m the 3rd owner. I’ve read but never seen an answer that helps. The ac and the temp gauge are not working at all. Temp sensor and thermostat have been replaced. I heard rumor of a pigtail behind the dash possibly? I’ve solved a few what I’ve learned are common issues sunroof drain leaking on floors wiper module reseal so I’m hoping this last fault can be solved any and all help is appreciated.

 

Hello I have an 09 H3X and the temp gauge don’t work and the ac won’t work either. I’ve replaced temp sensor and thermostat and still no help. I heard that there’s a 3rd part a pig tail possibly behind the dash??? Not sure but need desperate help. Any and all advice is appreciated very much.

You are overdoing it Grasshopper. Ask your question ONE time after you have searched for your answer(s) and could not find one that worked. Then wait for replies.

Have a scanner? Scan it for any historic faults and report back. Never heard anything about any Pigtail issue, but your problems can very well be related. Your AC will not run if the PCM cannot determine engine temp due to CAN bus communication issues, like a compromised wire harness to the Temp Sensor anywhere all the way back to the PCM. Trace that as far as you can.
