High idel ,Going through fuel!!
Hey everyone I have a 09 h3 and I'm having a issue with a high idle in park and also while driving it only started this after I cleaned my throttle body recently and I did Crack the push clip on the vacuum line going to the throttle body which i think is the early fuel evaperation line correct me if im wrong it still has the retaning clip so i was still able to put it back on. still been able to drive it as well but I'm really stumped at this point I thought the throttle body might be the issue so I installed a new one and no luck . the maf sensor look fine as well as far as codes go I've only gotten a p0113 but thats only leading me back to the maf sensor which was just recently replaced so I could really use some help thank u in advance. P.s I'm also getting a traction control failure light that comes on here and there.
The maf is a blue streak I believe which was a mid range one i still have the oem one cause it was just dirty but i kept the new one in but i put the old one back in for ****s and giggles and same issue and the throttle body is bosh with a one year warranty I try not to go with super cheap stuff if the wallet can stand it . And no I haven't fixed the piece cause I was super confused on what that vacuum line name was and what it connects to other than the throttle body. P.s I do have the oem throttle body as well and the high idle didn't start till after I took everything apart and put it back together then boom high idle. Thanks for your quick response !
Did you let the TB "learn" its idle after cleaning??? and then replacement? It may take 10 minutes or so during which you DO NOT Touch the accelerator pedal.
Did you use Throttle Body Cleaner when you cleaned the first TB?
Buy a can of MAF Cleaner and clean the original MAF, put it back in.

I did not on the oem tb that was my mistake I did not know at the time you had to . I did however do a re-learn on the new one which was turn on for 3min then shut off for 60sec then turn on for 3 min I used a timer for those so I would be exact as I could I also took it for a drive of over 45mph to let it adjust but no good. Ok I will try cleaning the oem maf and see what happens and I also screwed up by using carb cleaner on the oem tb which again at the time didn't think would hurt it . Thank u very much for the reply's.
make sure you do not have any cracks on the intake tube between the MAF and throttle body. also check your throttle body gasket as mentioned. if your broken vacuum connector is letting air in the intake past the MAF sensor then that is probably the issue. all intake air has to be measured by the MAF and cannot have a air leak past it.
Ok thanks I'll check them out all looked good yesterday but I might of missed something but the only thing that was broke was the clip u squeeze to get the vacuum line off the throttle body other than that everything is good also was is that vacuum line called so I can get a replacement cause I believe u can't just get a replacement clip thanks in advance . Also the gasket looked fine and I never removed it I just took a rag and wiped it down.
