Default Heaviest Trailer Towed?

I'm curious. Having driven a few trucks and SUV's and for fun went over the recommended limit in towing it got me wondering.

What's the heaviest weight you have towed in your H3?

I haven't towed anything over about 2000 lbs. The engine and gearing will let you know that you are pushing it too hard before you get beyond the limits of the brakes or vehicle stability. I think a couple of people have towed boats and trailers up at the payload limit, but on flat land they said it handled it without a hitch.

From an old post of mine in a similar thread:

2007 H3 with Performance (Air Doc Intake, PP TB, PCMofNC.com tune and Efan conversion, MagnaFlow Cat Back exhaust) and Off Road mods (weighs almost 6000# with me in it) on 305 MTZs. The boat, Chaparral 2330 7.4L Big Block with Bravo 3 dive and tandem axle trailer appx. 5,500#, hauled from south of Milwaukee back to NE of Detroit (appx 425 miles one way).

Tucked in behind a semi, 70MPH all the way (65 hp the big hills and 75 down the other side).

Beating feet heading out of West MI as the sun sets.

Would not recommend that, do not want to do it again, but the truck did everything I asked of it and got the job done.

I may or may not know someone that pulled 12k behind 2006 H3 adventure on 35s... dump trailer with skid steer. Do not do it there is a reason vehicles have ratings lol

Cool

I just bought a 2000 lb enclosed trailer that will max out at 3600 lbs with two full size Harley's in it. Initial observations are that maintaining speeds above 65 mph is definitely optimistic unless you are on flat roads. Going up hills it does downshift but then runs at 3000 rpms and picks up speed well. Engine Temp occasionally went up to 3/4 on the gauge going up steeper hills with temps outside running in the mid 70s. Gas mileage sucked but it was never that good to begin with.

like a year ago I pulled a Ford Focus who parked in a way that my gf couldn't get his car out of the parking slot in the Campus and left it on some grass with mud several meters away, nobody knew what the hell happened . Other than that I frequently tow a trailer with a Maverick...
