So I have a 07 h3 with a 5speed. It was my daily workhorse until the 5cylinder died thanks to a loose counterbalance chain. My neighbour had a vortec 4200 with forged internals and a performance head he had swapped into a canyon sitting in his garage with a custom flywheel since the 4200 never came with a 5speed and a race spec clutch with 15000km on it. We decided to swap it, after a lot of work we got it done and within 10 minutes of run time it spun a bearing. So we threw a scrapyard 4200 in with 115000km. I put a new chain in the transfer case and a scrapyard transmission with 120000km because I had damaged something prior to the motor dying. The thing is way faster and can march its way up hills in 5th no problem now. I had to get back to work partway through the process so picked up a 98 5speed ram 318 magnum that's never seen salt. I can't afford both and am debating which one to sell but I'm having a hard time valuing the h3. Its got the full leather jnterior, sunroof, tow package, rear axle locker, grey body, minimal rust,. As of now only fuel and Speedo guages work but I'm taking it to the garage in Huntsville for new gauges next week.

What do you guys think it's worth? No engine codes are coming up, running mint.

 

Me personally, wouldn't bother, worth Less than $2500. Even less after you dug up that other near 6 year OLD azzed thread in the other section. This site is not your private sell it listing place.

They make H3s with these things called 5.3L V8s right from the factory. A clean well maintained I5 is worth more than a project mismatched swap truck.
