Default H3 declared a total loss over plastic parts

A deer decided I didn't need a front grille. Every bit of the front plastic was damaged, but the repair shop told the insurance company parts have been discontinued, so it was declared to be totaled.

Anyone have experience finding quality aftermarket plastic body parts for the H3? I was told parts can be found on eBay, but I don't source of those parts.

Post pics of your damage. Btw, did you dress the deer?

Somebody mentioned venison 🦌🏹🦌

But it sucks about your H3.
My bet is eat the damage and start rebuilding if it is only the plastic.
I’m going to look to a 2008 H2 this weekend just for parts, park it in the back in my shop and I don’t have to worry in 10 years from now or sooner if I need parts.

No need to dress the deer - he had a full fur coat already

Be thankful that you drove a hummer and not one of those China manufactured shopping carts……

I guess your insurance company, and the Bozo Repair Shop have an issue with used parts? Talk to your insurance company, get their check, but make sure they DO NOT mark your vehicle as a total loss as your title from there on will be branded.

You can easily find the front end parts on ebay, car-part.com, local pick n pulls.... It ain't rocket science. Find another repair shop as well.

Good luck.
