H3, 07, 139k - Test Drive feedback and Concern

Thank you, what you explained is exactly what I felt. And that makes sense because the shifting
seemed very smooth.
I like the truck and the color, and the price.
Thanks again

Have you ever driven any 4X4 GM truck before? Drivetrain lag is what you are describing, and that would be normal.
H3s have a Transmission, Transfer Case, front and rear drive shaft, front and rear differentials, and front half shafts. When you let off the gas, all that unloads torque and as it does you can feel/sense a minor clunk, that goes away as soon as you step on the gas to apply torque load again. I have owned maybe 18-20 4X4 GM trucks and every one of them did that from brand new until I sold them.
If it is more than a very minor clunk, could be U Joints need to be replaced, but you would hear those when shifting from drive to reverse as well and could feel the play by getting underneath and twist the drive shafts back and forth.

New trucks require more than $6,500.00 a YEAR, for the PURCHASE alone!
H3's over 200K miles selling for over $10k. Hummer H3 493 listings

There was a clown last week on ebay asking like $18.5K for a 2006 with rebuilt Jasper motor. Never gonna happen, nobody that dumb with a wallet out there.

Very helpful thanks, I’m generating my checklist from this
AC, windows and sunroof works. I need to try engage 4x4 and look under for rust

-Have you looked under this H3 and Checked for rust issues?
-Do all the electronics work -A/C, POWER WINDOWS, LIGHTS, POWER SEATS, ETC.
-Did you engage the 4x4 control buttons & test it?
-Does this H3 have any engine codes?
-Did you check and see how much 4 new tires cost?
Cheap H3's usually need $$$$ in repairs.
