Good morning All
My name DonnaD I bought a 2004 H2 with 154k miles in July from a woman whose husband passed away and it was his dream car. Originally I approached her while walking my 2 German Shepards and said" I Love your truck do you want to sell it?" So we exchanged numbers and of course, Previously being in cars sales I kept in touch with texts from time to time and wished her Happy 4th just to keep in touch. She finally called and said she needs to find herself a car and I jumped at the chance to earn her trust.I set her up with a salesperson and she bought a Traverse the someday. I even brought her to the dealership to pick up her new car. When she got home she went with me to bring the truck to get checked out by my mechanic and she saw what the repairs would cost. Negotiation began... I offered her $5000 cash thinking she would tell me where to go.
( BTW from my research I expected to pay between $8k-$12k and had $10k). Her came back with $6250 and I agreed. The next morning I went to pick up the truck and after handing over the money she went in the returned $250 because she said the truck is a mess go get it detailed. I did it myself of course.
The first thing I did was basic service.
I've had the tie rods done
The upper control arms had never been done.
I eventually will need the rear main seal its not dripping leaking just sweating.
I replaced the stereo with a Kenwood touch screen with HD rear camera and the front camera with an Alpine recorder.
This past weekend I replaced the roof marker lights next weekend my two brothers will help with the side marker lights because the panels need to be removed.
My next forum post will be one of the power seats in which the rear seat cusion power doesn't work and the passenger front seat cushion doesn't work.
Thanks for the add and the long post but The fact that I bought this truck for $6000 I have to brag.
DonnaD

I guess I'll have to figure that one out. Now that you said that it makes perfect sense.
