I researched that as an alternative first, yet the price is too high. When I'm done, I will have 50bucks invested, and utilize those holes for a purpose, besides I can always change it back to factory with my mods, since no damage done to the rear door during this process. Also, using the wiring in the door, the taillight is soldered into the high mount brake light(that I already had to repair with leds strips), and the other lights getting connected to the rear wiper motor connector, controlled by the switch.
Btw, there is a reason behind my madness here. I noticed a nasty foul musty smell in my rig a month ago, I dug around inside and everything was dry. I tried deodorizer spray, and sure enough, I smelled it again the following day. I finally did a complete interior clean. Still smelled the following day. I checked inside the rear door, where I keep towels and tie down straps, and the straps were dry, yet the towels were wet/moldy and smelled like rotten a$$. Cleared it out, including my jack that is now rusted, yet never used, and checked for leaks. Rear vent seal was the source of the leak. No rust to the interior of the rear door, and the cabin smells much better.
yeah that vent never did make any sense. they usually just hide flap doors behind bumper moldings where they are hidden and do not get hit by weather on other vehicles

I have the graying problem too on my trim pieces. How did you use a heat gun? Are you trying to lightly melt the surface? Please help me understand how that works? Has me excited to fix it cheaply!

No don't melt the surface. I took my panels off, 2 screws each, and waved my heat gun over the panel until it turned black. Do not hold it in the same place for too long. Then after the panel was all black, I immediately applied a good coat of trim restorer.

Replaced the plug to cover the washer nozzle hole, with a GM badge, that matches the badges on the front fenders. The hole for the washer nozzle is not round. Waiting on more parts.
