Default front jounce/bump stops

I see my front suspension bump stops are toast. So, I've got questions about them before I do anything. I've cranked up the torsion bars a bit to level it.

At stock height they almost ride on the lower A-arm. This doesn't sound good and that it would reduce the shock action. Any negative affect of this?

Do I need to be worried with replacing them? Any need for aftermarkets, or are the OEMs as good as it gets?

My OEM '07 bump stops still look new, however I've changed oem shocks many years ago to monroe reflex monotubes.

They are progressive dampeners. The stock ride height of the suspension is designed to maintain contact with the bump stops at all times.

Extended bump stops were available at Trail Duty, not sure why you would need them or whether they are readily available for shipping.

My truck has the torsion bars adjusted and there is a solid 1" + of space between the LCA and Factory Bump stops. Whoever owned my 09 Alpha before had the suspension set so low it completely toasted the original bump stops. In fact, one side was almost gone it was missing such a big hunk. Replacing them with OEMs is like a 15 minute job. Google it, there are vids out there and already a similar post on the front page of HF.

To be sure, Tainter, you are saying to just use the rear bumps on the front if it is raised up?

Those are rears..
Read Doc's post above again..
You should not be riding on the jounce bumpers!
Replace the shocks!
Here's a video with many issues: (notice the distance between the lca and still original shocks):
