Fixing my front diff seals and decided to drain the fluid. I'm thinking it shouldn't look like a swampy pond. Guess it'll be happier with new fluid.
I had the problem with the clogged breather tube full of dirt, so it makes sense that the front end spent time under water at some point.

Yes, lol that's exactly what swamp water looks like. I'm pretty sure your differential suffered adverse effects and symptoms. Bearings anyone?

 

Yeah i am doing these small outer bearings as well as the seals. Just the little bit I drove afterwards was noticeably better. I haven't checked the rear diff fluid since the purchase. That should be on my to do list this week.

 

A prior owner must have used it for a boat, or possibly a submarine. Translation to Redneck = Mud Bogging.
