Factory Wheel Options
Hello,
I am new to the Hummer forums and new to the Hummer family.
I just purchased a used 2010 H3 Adventure which needs minor work to get back on the road. The original 16" wheels are quite corroded and the spare is absent. (tires are shot as well)
I found a local seller that has 17" 7-blade factory rims for sale for at a fair price. However; I am unable to find any information on this option online. Would anyone happen to have any information on what model year these might have been offered on the H3? Other than TPMs and increased Tire cost, does anyone have strong opinion so as to why I would want to stick with a 16"?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to HF. Are you planning on wheeling it? If so, the more sidewall the better.
H3 wheels are all over ebay and craig's list, local pick-n-pulls..... easy to find.
The 17s came on the H3X version.

The H3X wheels shown in the picture are 18" x 7.5" factory wheels. The center cap is off in this picture. Perhaps other 17" wheels were also available, but I've never seen them. I'm only familiar with the two styles of 16" (not including the steel wheels), and these 18" wheels. There are also other Hummer accessory wheels that I've seen a picture of but probably very few in existence. I've wheeled with these 18" wheels with 305/70R18 tires and had no issues. The sidewall height is the same as a 285/75R16.

H2 factory wheels come in 17, maybe the OP is looking at the wrong rims for an H3???

I have 2007 H3X and my one gripe about those 18" rims is they are chrome plated and mine are also experiencing significant corrosion. The chrome is peeling off in 3-4" pieces. I did find a solution if you want OEM replacements. Michigan Wheel has them and they are quite reasonable. About $800 a set delivered.
