Default H3 wheel options

I have 07 H3 and I want black wheels. I have the factory chrome wheels and should have just bought the tactical package!!!! I dont want to spend a thousand dollars for wheels and have considered black steel wheels. I am told they will stick out of the fenders due to the off set and stock 16" size may not fit over the calipers.
1) Can I have the stock chrome wheels powder coated? Cost?
2) Has anybody put normal steel wheels on? How much do they stick out past the fenders?
3) Tellico4x4.com sells simulated beadlock rings. Will theyattach to my stock wheels? I dont think there is enough lip on the stock wheel, anybody try these?

Any other ideas for the stock chrome wheels (anybody paint their own?)

thanx.

powdercoating is an option..prolly run around $100 a rim..that's the price I was given locally. Steel wheels may stick out or may bot...depends on the offset....look in the wheel forum for more info.

IMO to powder coat could be expensive because yoy would have to have the Chrome stripped off.
Here is a website you can plug in the wheel specs i.e. offset/back space, width and Dia and compare it to the stock wheel it provides a butt load of info;

You could go "Black Chrome". They just have to dip the wheels again. Not sure on the cost. OR you can do what I did and spray them. Check out my post Some new changes Yey another route, is Line X, I would guess all 5 wheels would run around $200. I am doing my grill and they quoted me between $60-$80.

I'd love to see someone go to put Line Xed wheels back on only to find the coating was too thick to get the lugs back on properly...

Yea if line-xing I would not spray the center hub area (not a big deal cuz the cap covers it) or the inner tire area, as it may cause air leakage. But it would still look cool, and be a cost effective alt to powder coating.
