Engine surging
I have a 2007 hummer h3 3.7L adventure package. During rapid acceleration engine begins to surge up and down about 200 to 300 rpm drop mainly through 1st and second gears but if I manually turn off traction control via the button next to the rear locker button, it doesn't surge at all. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

Check and report if there is any error codes, some error code readers are junk and only report generic DTCs
Use one that does GM enhanced and checks all controllers in vehicle
Check fuel rail pressure, what is it ?
Last time the fuel filter was replaced ?
Bad gas or filled with E15 gas which most people do not even look at the pumps and feds made allowable 4 years ago
Else get like a OBDLINK OBD-II MX+ scanner (Amazon) less then $100, works on cellphone and laptops using MS windows
and look at what the fuel trims vales are.
Larger the positive values are, the leaner engine is running, negative values are rich
Check for ANY air ot exhaust leaks, and possible the O2 sensors are corrupted or too old

Not a good practice to dig up old threads to ask a question.
I bought it last Aug. (2021) odometer read 230k but the engine had been replaced at 160k and the trans replaced at 220k. I, personally haven’t clean the throttle body.
As far as it being an old thread I just searched for “engine surging” and found this thread.
