Does/Did your sunroof ever leak?
Thanks for the help. I looked down on my H3 from an upstairs window and saw where the drain holes are and I tried the mike on a dry day and it worked. Guess before it was because there was still so much water sloshing the dispatcher couldn't hear.
My 2006 H3 has developed a leak in the roof. It doesn't happen when I drive thru a carwash but does when there is rain overnight or during the day when I am parked at work. I do have a sun roof. The water seems to gather in the roof liner and diasapears when I go up hill. Tends to drain out the On Star Mircophone or overflows when the area over the headliner (around the sun roof) fills up.Are there drains that may have got plugged? Anyone else experience this and found how to rectify it?

We're out of warranty so now I use my air compressor and a rubber tipped air nozzle from Sears. One front side cleared at about 35 psi and the other took almost 70 psi. It made quite a loud pop when the clog let go! I was a little scared that the drain hose blew off so I dropped the headliner around the front of the sunroof a double checked to make sure the hoses were still attached. All was okay.
There are also two more drains at the rear but you can't reach them without dropping the headliner. For us it's been so far so good with only the front drains clear.
Twice a year I just blow out the drains as preventative maintenance now.
It's not really the sunroof that is leaking, it's the drains that are clogged. We've got maple trees in our yard and they drop a different kind of #rap Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Had to take mine in 3 separate times for it leaking, The tech guy was a genius and managed to put holes in both rear drain lines while 'cleaning' them, making it worse every time. Last time I had an inch of standing water, That was awesome. The service manager and i had a discussion over that.
They wound up replacing the headliner, floor mats, entire carpet, rear seat belts and rear seats for water damage. Heck the replaced the bolts for the front seats too because they started to rust. I did have to call gm and throw a fit though for them to do it all. I let them keep their loaner and brought a chair and sat and watched the tech all day work on it to avoid anymore 'accidents'. Their work generally improves under irritated supervision.
I do throw an airhose thru the drains every other oil change now, takes 30 seconds and 2 years leak free.

I just had a leak which soaked the floor on the front and rear passenger carpets. I brought it immediately back to the dealer. He said that one of the four moonroof drainage points was clogged. He cleared the clog and dried out the carpets with some kind of ionizing device to kill any possible mold. When I picked up the car, he showed me that by opening the moonroof and standing in the car where the drains are. I was amazed that these drains could work in that the hole is so small. So far, there have been several rainy days with no leakage. He said to refrain from parking under trees because they can provide debris to clog up the drainage holes. I read several internet sites and people talk about blowing out the drainage holes and how easy it is to inadvertantly knock off one of the drainage tubes and the difficulty of reconnecting them.
My sunroof leaked. It was the drain hoses which run through the pillars down and out the bottom. The hoses are tygon connected to a stub of metal. Mine wasnt even clamped on, just stuck in place. also the drain holes in the bottom clog if you go mudding often.
