Funny you should mention that; GM DID actually change the window controls as well as the arm rest/door pull during the 2007 model year.

Give TAINTER a cigar... They did change the door controls and moved them out of the way of the elbow... A good change at that. My elbow was always hitting those controls on the 06's.

As far as the roof lights go... I didn't say GM didn't make them... I just said they are not stock. If you have the money you can have the dealership add just about anything to your vehicle. It doesn't make it stock. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've personally have never seen those lights come stock on any Hummer... Even if they call the OEM. Maybe TAINTER can shed some light (no pun intended) on that? I'm sure he may know for sure.

I've always felt aftermarket companies comes out with things far before the manufacture do. They play catch up because they lose money to those aftermarket companies. I've seen those off road lights way before Hummer quit making Hummers. Everyone are proud of those lights that's fore sure.

I think GM sold off its entire Hummer accessory stock to the aftermarked when they closed the doors. That's why you see them sold by the 3rd party aftermarket now.

LoL... I am reading this in 2019. Just purchased a 2008 H3 and I had the same question as the OP. So in my opinion, digging up this "old dead thread" made plenty of sense. :-)

For some that bought original Hummers and did many mods. The differences between models can be muddy.

Some changed wheels, some tires, others mirrors. Some X models removed thier spare details etc.

So even the dealer/ manufacturer packages which were many have been further changed Which is good thing

The Hummer brand was noble from the start. Were it not for some misguided conservationists. It would have stayed the course.

Shame

You will know if you have adventure package if it has the diff locker button next to the traction control button on the 4x4 row. If you have that you have the adventure package or off-road package

READING is one thing, digging it up cause you just got to say something is entirely another!

Thumbs up

I have no issues with dragging up old posts... If you want to learn something ask... (people can always unsubscribe from these emails)
Who cares how old the posts are... Most normal people won't get mad or call you out on it. They will just answer your questions.
So feel free to ask away... Even though most of us have moved on to other vehicles... We still have the answers you are in search of.
( I still love the Hummers H3's )

We have RULES at Hummer Forums just like all the other forums out there. One of them is to avoid digging up OLD threads, refusal to follow rules have consequences. Advising others to violate forum rules is not a smart move. LEARN how it is supposed to be done. Post a brand new thread, ask your question(s), then link to the OLD dead thread if you thing it was important.
