Hello, I'm on the fence of becoming a new hummer owner and I was wondering which H3 Model was the overall best. Accounting everything. The Regular H3 Model, H3X, Alpha? And which one is the "luxury" model? Thanks a lot.

 

And an explanation if possible would be awesome. I'm trying to figure this all out, thanks.

 

All H3s are very capable off road and on. Below is the list of the major models in order from base to alpha I may be missing a few things here and there but this is the basics.

2006 H3 base= 3.5L Inline 5 and has full time 4 wheel drive with 265/75r16 tires.
2007 H3 base= 3.7L Inline 5 and has full time 4 wheel drive with 265/75r16 tires.
H3 Luxury = above plus chrome, Navigation, and leather
H3 adventure= base+ rear locker and 285/75R16 tires
H3 X = Adventure+ option for burnt orange color and custom leather interior

H3 Alpha = Adventure + Front locker and 5.3L V8 (avail. 08 and newer)


There have also been minor improvements throughout the years most things stayed the same but the newer models fixed some minor bugs like Upgraded tie rods, button placement, and other minor mechanical things that some people had a problem with.

All in all you will be happy with any H3. If you are not planning on doing hardcore off roading the 06 base will be a great truck. and they just get better from there. Let your budget and foreseen needs decide which model to get.
