Question Cylinder #4 - still buy or pass?

So a stealership has an 06' with under 100k miles and the stealership report says

"inspected for see is on has p0300 stored current tested system found misfire #4 moved coil and plug no change did compression test ok did leak down found exhaust seat leaking need to replace cylinder head"

The sales rep says - it can still be driven for 100k more miles just like it is...

But of course I don't know so I am asking all of you - can you still drive this while you try to see if its plugs, throttle body, etc? Or is this a hard pass?

Thanks

Hummerz,

Just so I understand, what you're suggesting is that although the leak down test showed (whatever) and the service record says replace head; you're saying that it could likely be fixed by cleaning the internal parts and then using top tier gas?

Other posts show some 06' MY had to have their heads replaced. The last few numbers on this car is: 68275952

I wanted to be sure and clarify - thank you.

Yes, engine decarbonization can correct. No, I would not pay anywhere near the asking price($19,444).

I would not pay $10K for it as you can buy 06s under that with no problems.

The problem is finding low mile h3's... especially since I want the 4:1 transfer case. Not that I do hard core rock crawling but it seems like it would be better to have than not. But I don't know of course - but I do like a lower price tag!

Yeah I saw that one - looks good except for now 4:1 transfer case and locker. But looks nice 👍
