Cruise control stuck on!

Cruise control stuck on!
I was doing 75 and then tapped the brakes and my cruise didn’t go off!!. I turned off the cruise control switch and it still didn’t go off so then I just kept pressing the brakes and it would go down but then it will just resume right back up to 75 mph!I took the nearest exit put it in neutral, prayed I wasn’t going to go through the pizza building and shut it off. And it mooed loudly at me. Has anyone else had this problem??
