Default Complete h3 repair guide (oem)

Hey Guys,

Returning the favor for all the help...came across a link to a link to an install of what I think is OEM software that allows you to put in your VIN and get out the owner's manual, service bulletins and complete repair guide. Bit of a trip to install but as far as I can tell it is legit and safe. That said, proceed at your own risk.

https://cardiagn.com/gm-service-manual-iso/

The instructions are slightly incorrect. Pls DM if you need help w/the install. Couple tweaks are needed to get it to open (nothing too tricky).

NOTE: I DID NOT POST THE SOFTWARE, LEAK IT OR HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WHATSOEVER W/IT, FOUND PUBLICLY ON GOOGLE. (don't ask ?'s bc I don't know anymore than it works)

EDIT: If one of the moderators or more senior members could re-post with a sticky for everyone that would be great so I can take down.

@Doc Olds @Justinh

Scan your pc.
Check out Schwarttzy that has been around for many years!

Yes!! It opens into a virtual machine tho, so it appears entirely self-contained...tremendous resource (a lot of it is the same as Schwarttzy, but even more extensive)...has the repair guides for what looks like all the GM models up to when it was published....from running it, it has to be the real deal...can post screenshots if anyone is curious

I don't download when it's available for viewing online. No spyware on my pc!

thats a good companion to my tech 2
tested working on windows XP and windows 7 and yes it is the GM dealer software.
it has all gm vehicles Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC Truck, HUMMER, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn from 1980 up to 2009

maybe this thread should be moved to a more suitable location then in the H3 section

if one of the mods, can post it where it belongs pls feel free (no idea how/why this ended up online but hope y'all find it helpful)...was googling how to fix my rig...

@bronxteck what is a tech 2 and what does it do for you? (just now starting to work on my rig these days)

https://www.vetronix.com/collections/tech-2 GM Dealer scan tool.
you can get one from china much cheaper. it is 70$ cheaper without the case on that link. you can probably pick up a nice hard case for like 25$ at Harbour Freight

nice to know you can use VM player 15. i just mounted the iso and ran setup then entered the provided software password in the docs folder and let it install everything. it uses VM player 3

^thanks

would recommend the 15 version, the other didn't work too well...if you ever get an error code just google some of the text...seems you can add some lines of code w/notepad to get around whatever trouble it throws...again complete trial by fire over here...

well in windows XP and windows 7 it works fine you need the older OS's and a serial port any ways to use TIS 2000 for use with the Tech 2 for programming modules. I turned off the VM ware updating and plugins updating to avoid any issues. you can do it from the virtual machines preferences
