Default OEM MUDFLAP INSTALL

I just received My OEM mud flaps today. Gonna install tomorrow. Do I really need to remove the back tires in order to install these. As per the install instructions say to do. Any advise?

AWE man... Thanks Dennis. Also Did you feel comfortable drilling the holes? Is there any rust etc. resulting from drilling that you noticed.

I've had the oem mud flaps on both H3's, but I let the dealer do the install.

Have not had any issues with seeing any rust.

I did them myself, left the tires on and had no problem... it was a tight squeeze and had to manipulate the drill a little bit to get it in there, but It took me only about 30 mintues to do all 4 tires. I will recommend on the front to turn the wheel all the way to one side to give you room to work behind it, and turn it the other way to do the other side. So far I'm happy with the mudflaps, but I wish the covered more area. The dirtiest part of my H3 is where the fender extends out on the rear doors....even driving a few blocks gets that real dirty.

I installed the Huskys and did not have to remove the wheels. There was plenty of room. Just turn the wheels like msl369 said and you should be fine!

Yeah I will try first with out removing rear tires. Maybe I can use my right angle drill to help.

Installed mine with no problem. Used a Polish cordless drill. Clamp you drill bit with a pair of Vise Grips, apply a little pressure and spin the Vise Grips around between the fender and the rear tire. Probably wouldn't work on steel, but Ok on plastic fenders.
