Hello. About a week ago I started getting a chime in my 2006 H3 that I can't figure out. When I put the key in (before starting) or when I turn it off, I get 5 consecutive dings, a space, 5 more consecutive dings, a space and then five more. I cannot figure what this is and neither Google or the owner's manual are any help. Does anyone happen to know?

 

The key in the lock position, and the door LOCK button is activated, you will receive a feedback of 5 chimes.

 

Thank you for the reply. The key is in the lock position for sure because it happens as soon as I put the key in or as soon as I turn it off, but I am 100% sure I am not hitting the lock button. One hand is on the wheel and the other on the key. I wonder if there is an issue with the switch panel? And it doesn't do it every time. I'd say maybe half the times I drive it happens.

 

Process of elimination: remove & disconnect the master switch.

 

Got'cha. I decided to get a new one just in case. $30 and it'll be here tomorrow so I'll see if it still does it after I put that in. If it does, I'll go from there. That you for your help
