Autozone Platinum is made by Deka who is actually East Penn Manufacturing Inc. Yep Made in the USA! Says it right on my frickin' AGM in the H3T that I bought at Autozone!

Relax, I'm only stating what what I heard. The rep from East Penn DEKA came into my shop yestereday and He said that East Penn stopped supplying batteries to autozone and walmart. I will contact him and get more information. Have a great day.

search online for more information, johnston controls supplies autozone and walmart batteries, also produces the optimas, and use to supply sears diehard. made in mexico

FWIW..Decided to go with Optima25 for my H3. I have one in my F-150..(3 yrs)..no problems.. I called the local OReilly..Manager there is a friend., and I bought the Ford battery there. He said he could knock off $20.... to an even $200...PLUS tax...I checked around..Amazon..$140.17 delivered to my door..Warranted..(I called Optima)..I like to support local businesses, but $75 is $75...

UPDATE...Optima RedTop arrived from Amazon yesterday..$140 delivered to my door..Date on battery..5/14. Fit perfectly in my battery box. Actually a bit shorter than stock. I changed the cable ends years ago..so my only modification was a 5 minute dremel job to clear the new bolts that on the cable ends..AND..I opened up the ends a little so they would fit better on the posts..Optima posts are a little bigger...

I use the Max 79 CCA 800 from Wally World for half the price of auto parts stores
