So truck started out last night flashing battery not charging while at the gas station but after got home the guages stoped working for the rpms, gas, speed everything and battery died is this normal with the battery just dieing or do i have 2 problems? i didnt have time to mess with anything yet until later today.

 

Most likely the Alternator is not working. You need to charge your battery and then check the voltage while the truck is running. You should see about 14 volts. If it's only 12 volts or so them it's alternator time.
