Default C0050 Rear right speed Sensor issue?

Hello Guys.
Recently had both front bearings replaced, problem started when my mechanic decided to replace the front right that came in with damages. He claimed to have repaired it and it worked fine for a couple of drives. I then started getting tracking ABS faults and took it back to him. He claimed to have more damages than he may have noticed. I got a replacement bearing and he replaced that. On his paperwork it states that resolved the C0040 error but C0050 is still coming up. I don't get how suddenly the rear right sensor is bad, too many coincidences with this guy. I decided to fix it myself but my scanner is not picking up any errors even though the ABS/Traction errors are still coming up on the dash. Is it possible my cheap scanner is too low end to pick this error up?

Your mechanic replaced both front wheel bearings for a C0050? Find a new mechanic and get a scanner with abs capability. In the meantime you can check wiring/connector to rr sensor. While waiting on your scanner.Check:
scanner with abs and live data scanner with abs and live data

C0050 Possible Causes

  • Faulty Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor harness is open or shorted
  • Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor circuit poor electrical connection

He replaced the bearings because they were bad, I clearly stated the errors came up after he replaced the 2nd bearing a few weeks back. He fixed a broken bearing (I purchased on Amazon and was delivered in a banged up box) without letting me know by soldering the cables and installed on front right. That caused the C0040 error that he claims was fixed after i got a new bearing that he just put on. Now he is saying there is a C0050 error which is somewhat of a coincidence to me. I do see ABS errors on the dash but my scanner is not picking up any codes.

I was going to buy and replace the sensor in rear back myself but without a code who knows if he is telling the truth. I Guess i can take a ride to Advanced auto and have it scanned.
