Anyone experienced a broken door check? Noticed a clicking noise a few weeks back and couldn't see any issues at first. But then i looked closely and the door check at the hinge that connects to the body is broken all the way through. I see a number of door checks online but I can't quite figure out if it fits my 2008 or not. Wholesale GM Parts says that GM Part #15929237 fits the 08. When i checked GMParts Direct, the same part #15929237 says it DOES NOT fit and it's only for the 09-10. Can anyone confirm this? Also, am i right thinking it's not a big deal to remove/install a new check? Looks like the door panel needs to come off because you have the thread the skinny end through a cutout in the door but not entirely sure. Tried to get a picture of my broken piece.
I asm not awar that anything changed in the H3 doors. A door check should fit all 2006-10 H3s. I ran you PN a couple times, all I saw was 2006-2010????
Just called my local GM dealership and they did a search using my VIN and confirmed that the door check (#15929237) is the correct part for my 08. Not sure why I am seeing conflicting info online though. Posted a screenshot of the GM Parts Direct site below that says it does not fit. The text in the browser tab also says "2009-2010 H3 Door Check." But oh well, ordered it anyways and will see how the install goes. Thanks as always Doc
